How do I get to the SunShine Co. in Southend?
We’re located at 210 Woodgrange Drive, Southend-on-Sea SS1 2SJ, just a 7 minute walk from Southend East Station on the C2C line, making us easy to reach from surrounding areas like Leigh-on-Sea and Shoeburyness.
Bus routes including the 7, 8, 9A, 21 and 24 stop nearby, and we’re just a 3 minute drive from The Royals Shopping Centre, ideal if you’re combining your tanning session with a shopping trip.
We’re open until 10 pm during the week and 9 pm on weekends, so you can pop in for a quick session whenever it suits you.
Is there parking near the salon?
Yes, there’s street parking available on nearby side roads.
Additionally, there’s a Lidl that is just a 2 minute walk from the salon, which can potentially be used at your discretion.
Please note that some car parks may have time limits and/or require payment. We are not responsible for any parking fines or issues related to these facilities.
Do I need to book a session in advance?
No appointment is necessary, just pop in during our opening hours and we’ll fit you in!
What amenities does the salon have?
At our front desk, you can grab disposable eye protection stickers for your session. You can also buy tanning accelerator creams as single sachets or bottles to save on multiple sessions. We have a waiting area, clean toilet, a lock on the doors when in use and mirrors for your convenience.
All sunbeds are cleaned and maintained by our staff before and after each use. If you have any questions, just ask our friendly team, we’re here to help!
Which types of sunbeds do you have at Southend?
We have both lay down and stand-up sunbeds at our Southend salon, each equipped with features like Bluetooth, air conditioning, and easy-to-use controls.
Do you offer different tanning packages?
We offer flexible tanning packages to suit all budgets. You can pay as you go and purchase sessions on the day, or save in the long run by pre-purchasing one of our tanning courses, giving you a lower cost per minute and more value for your money.
Prices for our Southend sunbed shop start from 88p a minute.
Can you walk me through what to expect when I visit?
When you arrive, simply check in with our friendly staff at the front desk. They’ll find your online account and ask how many minutes you’d like to tan and which type of sunbed you prefer.
Then, you’ll be allocated to a private room where you’ll have 5 minutes to get ready. When you’re ready, press the red button on the wall to start your session. Our team is always around if you need any help.
What should I wear during a tanning session?
What you wear is totally up to you. Some people prefer to tan in their underwear, others use towels to cover certain areas and some choose to tan nude.

Can I bring a friend with me?
Yes, friends are very welcome! We have multiple sunbed rooms available, so you can tan at the same time.

Just visited the beautiful newly refurbished Sunhine Co tanning salon in Southend! O my, it is stunning! The staff are absolutely lovely, they always are and today I spoke to another lovely girl who said she usually worked in the Upminster branch. Such a great tanning experience as always and lovely staff!! Cannot recommend this company highly enough! :-)
