How do I get to the SunShine Co. in Upminster?
You’ll find us at 89 Corbets Tey Road, Upminster RM14 2AH, just a short 9 minute walk from Upminster Station, which is served by National Rail and the District Line, ideal whether you’re coming from central London or nearby Essex towns.
The 370 bus also stops nearby, connecting areas like Romford, Hornchurch, and Lakeside, with stops at Upminster Station and Upminster Windmill, making it easy to get to us by public transport.
We’re open until 9 pm during the week and 7 pm on weekends as per our winter opening times, so you can pop in for a quick session whenever it suits you.
Is there parking near the salon?
Yes, Corbets Tey Road Car Park is just a 2-minute walk away. It’s free for up to 30 minutes if you’re just popping in, and stays open until 8pm. Upminster Station also offers longer-stay parking if you’re combining your visit with other plans. There’s also on-street parking available.

Do I need to book a session in advance?
No appointment is necessary, just pop in during our opening hours and we’ll fit you in!
What amenities does the salon have?
At our front desk, you can grab disposable eye protection stickers for your session. You can also buy tanning accelerator creams as single sachets or bottles to save on multiple sessions. We have a waiting area, clean toilet, a lock on the doors when in use and mirrors for your convenience.
All sunbeds are cleaned and maintained by our staff before and after each use. If you have any questions, just ask our friendly team, we’re here to help!
Which types of sunbeds do you have at Upminster?
We have both lay down and stand-up sunbeds at our Upminster salon, each equipped with features like Bluetooth, air conditioning, and easy-to-use controls.

Do you offer different tanning packages?
We offer flexible tanning packages to suit all budgets. You can pay as you go and purchase sessions on the day, or save in the long run by pre-purchasing one of our tanning courses, giving you a lower cost per minute and more value for your money.
Prices for our Upminster sunbed shop start from 88p a minute.
Can you walk me through what to expect when I visit?
When you arrive, simply check in with our friendly staff at the front desk. They’ll find your online account and ask how many minutes you’d like to tan and which type of sunbed you prefer.
Then, you’ll be allocated to a private room where you’ll have 5 minutes to get ready. When you’re ready, press the red button on the wall to start your session. Our team is always around if you need any help.
What should I wear during a tanning session?
What you wear is totally up to you. Some people prefer to tan in their underwear, others use towels to cover certain areas and some choose to tan nude.

Can I bring a friend with me?
Yes, friends are very welcome! We have multiple sunbed rooms available, so you can tan at the same time.

Been to so many sun bed shops and this is by far the best! They have loveliest staff members (Inez is absolutely amazing!), their beds are phenomenal and always have new bulbs, and the place is spotless. Would honestly recommend to anyone!

love love love.. been using for 5 years +... Lovely staff.. & beds are fantastic.. they change tubes on the regular.. use a few of there shops in diffrent locations... upminster, basildon, hornchurch... the basildon branch has the pink sunbed tubes in laydown.. a few little pink tubes & the pink face boosters... i remember when they had the pink & blue bulbs in there stand up sunbeds too... they were fantastic.. it would be awesome to have at least one stand up with the pink & blue bulbs.. as they create more melanin in the body.. for a deeper tan.. & also the happy hormone production of serotonin & melanin the sleep hormone too.. i do miss the pink & blue tubes in the stand ups.. there was lots of pink tubes in them.. every 3 blue bulbs was a pink.. love you guys .

Superb modern sunbeds, really clean cubicles. Used the Sunbed accelerator cream & the tanning results were amazing. 10 minutes was equivalent to a day on the beach in Ibiza 😎😎😎
