How do I get to the SunShine Co. in Orpington?
You’ll find us at 276 High Street, Orpington, BR6 0ND, in the heart of the town centre. We’re easy to reach whether you’re coming by train, bus, or car.
If you’re travelling by train, we’re just a 10 minute walk from Orpington Railway Station, with frequent services to London Charing Cross, London Cannon Street, and Sevenoaks.
If you’re taking the bus, several routes stop close to the salon on High Street, including the 51, 61, 208, 353, B14, and R1, connecting Orpington to surrounding towns and local areas.
We’re open until 9 pm during the week and 7 pm on weekends as per our winter opening times, so you can pop in for a quick session whenever it suits you.
Is there parking near the salon?
Yes, there are multiple parking options nearby:
On-street parking on High Street, which is roughly £1.20 per hour, with varying maximum stays.
Nearby car parks include Knoll Rise, Lych Gate Road, and Oakhill Road, with hourly rates starting from £0.90.
Please note that some car parks may have time limits and/or require payment. We are not responsible for any parking fines or issues related to these facilities.
Do I need to book a session in advance?
No appointment is necessary, just pop in during our opening hours and we’ll fit you in!
What amenities does the salon have?
At our front desk, you can grab disposable eye protection stickers for your session. You can also buy tanning accelerator creams as single sachets or bottles to save on multiple sessions. We have a waiting area, clean toilet, a lock on the doors when in use and mirrors for your convenience.
All sunbeds are cleaned and maintained by our staff before and after each use. If you have any questions, just ask our friendly team, we’re here to help!
Which types of sunbeds do you have at Orpington?
We have both lay down and stand-up sunbeds at our Orpington salon, each equipped with features like Bluetooth, air conditioning, and easy-to-use controls.
If you’re looking for something more advanced, our P9 megaSun beds include extra features such as a light show, sound system, and wireless charging for a more enhanced tanning experience.

Do you offer different tanning packages?
We offer flexible tanning packages to suit all budgets. You can pay as you go and purchase sessions on the day, or save in the long run by pre-purchasing one of our tanning courses, giving you a lower cost per minute and more value for your money.

Can you walk me through what to expect when I visit?
When you arrive, simply check in with our friendly staff at the front desk. They’ll find your online account and ask how many minutes you’d like to tan and which type of sunbed you prefer.
Then, you’ll be allocated to a private room where you’ll have 5 minutes to get ready. When you’re ready, press the red button on the wall to start your session. Our team is always around if you need any help.
What should I wear during a tanning session?
What you wear is totally up to you. Some people prefer to tan in their underwear, others use towels to cover certain areas and some choose to tan nude.

Can I bring a friend with me?
Yes, friends are very welcome! We have multiple sunbed rooms available, so you can tan at the same time.

Sun tans work Almost burned myself to a crisp and melted in the machines but came out looking more handsome than ever. Lady in charge is charming and gorgeous Great place if you wanna tan your pasty butt
The beds are all modern and good quality. The staff keep the whole shop immaculately clean and each cubicle always has eye guards kept clean in water for you to use. They managed the COVID requirements brilliantly and I had no concerns about the beds or the cubicles being problematic. Lastly and most importantly the staff are friendly and helpful and make you feel welcome every time.

The best sunbeam shop ever!!! I Travel 30 minutes from Greenhithe to use your beds as they are THE BEST! The shop is always SPOTLESS! The girls are always pleased to see you, easy parking right outside the door at night times. I also use there shop in gidea Park, the beds are great there too! I get off there beds feeling like they have done something- given me a great tan! Thanks Mega sun!
