How do I get to the SunShine Co. in South Woodham Ferrers?
You’ll find us at Unit 10 Chandlers, South Woodham, Essex, CM3 5TB, just a few minutes from the heart of town. We’re around a 5 minute drive / 17 minute walk from South Woodham Ferrers Train Station, making us easy to reach whether you’re travelling by train, car, or bus.
If you’re coming by bus, several local routes stop nearby, including the 94, 94A, 94B, 336, and 45, connecting South Woodham Ferrers to neighbouring towns and villages.
We’re open until 9 pm during the week and 7 pm on weekends as per our winter opening hours, so you can easily fit in a tanning session after work or during your day.
Is there parking near the salon?
Yes, there are several parking options close by. You’ll find pay-as-you-park bays and short-term parking available near the salon.
Additionally, Asda’s car park at Queen Elizabeth Square is just a 3 minute walk from the salon, which can potentially be used at your discretion.
Please note that some car parks may have time limits and/or require payment. We are not responsible for any parking fines or issues related to these facilities.
Do I need to book a session in advance?
No appointment is necessary, just pop in during our opening hours and we’ll fit you in!
What amenities does the salon have?
At our front desk, you can grab disposable eye protection stickers for your session. You can also buy tanning accelerator creams as single sachets or bottles to save on multiple sessions. We have a waiting area, clean toilet, a lock on the doors when in use and mirrors for your convenience.
All sunbeds are cleaned and maintained by our staff before and after each use. If you have any questions, just ask our friendly team, we’re here to help!

Can you walk me through what to expect when I visit?
When you arrive, simply check in with our friendly staff at the front desk. They’ll find your online account and ask how many minutes you’d like to tan and which type of sunbed you prefer.
Then, you’ll be allocated to a private room where you’ll have 5 minutes to get ready. When you’re ready, press the red button on the wall to start your session. Our team is always around if you need any help.
What should I wear during a tanning session?
What you wear is totally up to you. Some people prefer to tan in their underwear, others use towels to cover certain areas and some choose to tan nude.

Yes, friends are very welcome! We have multiple sunbed rooms available, so you can tan at the same time.

P9 sunbed is the best sunbed I have ever used. I'm dark skinned but have to be careful as it's extremely powerful. Really nice and clean salon, nice staff.
Expensive but wouldn't go anywhere else
Lovely staff, sparkling clean, great ultra new sun beds that talk you through the start process, spacious, I get prickly heat usually but these beds are super fast so you get a colour even in 4 mins with powerful fans to keep you cool!
